Creating Task – Triangles

1. Use the properties of triangles to create a game of Math-O, the games will be created as a review and  will be used to reinforce the concepts of triangles.

    These are valuable tasks that will help students. They also make me think about distinguishing tasks that call for creating content ABOUT already-created math, and tasks that call for creating MATH content. Bloom’s Taxonomy papers I have seen so far have not talked about it like this, but there are a lot of them, so it is probably described somewhere.

    I like this idea about creating poems about triangles. I think any time we can teach topics across different curricular areas it makes it more memorable for the students. To alleviate some anxiety over this for the students I would show the students different types of poems and how to create them prior to this task. I would also read the children some poems to they can get a feel for how poems should sound. At the end of the lesson, you could also have a showcase of the poems and have the students read them to friends, family, other teachers etc to get them excited about their work!
